Hope your new job gets off to a great start and your first shoot goes smoothly! Also, good luck with the going to bed early thing. I'm the same way and have fought with it forever. I think I was just born that way.
helpful tip: no caffeine after 2pm, no late-night workouts (workout at/around 5pm), no late night snacks. It works for me.
You still seem to be managing quite well despite your tardy start to each day :-).
I'm just like that, and it's even worse since I have a regular job where I have to be by 9pm.
And I think my lack of sleep is making me unhealthy, I just can't bring myself into bed before 1am.
Are you doing all the clubkayden contents at your place?
Good luck on your first movie shoot for Digital Playground pictures. I'm sure it will be
a revelation. We are all looking forward to it.
If you really want a regular schedule that makes sure you get up around 7-8amish, I would recommend getting a dog. They usually wake you up(so they can go for walkies) and their ownership commands regularity. That being said, I understand you already have a cat and a rabbit and work and school aswell as other priorities.... so a having a dog would more than likely not work for you at this time in your life. From one pet owner to another, I know that one day, it will.
Best wishes,
Colin
There is absolutely no reason for you to wake up early if you don't have to. Humans have wildly different circadian rhythms and there has been little research into circadian disorders. But suffice it to say that you're an "owl".
If you're lucky enough to have a job that lets you be an "owl" then be an owl and count yourself lucky you can sleep on the schedule that fits your rhythms best.
This NYT article explains it better than I can, but here's a handy quote:
Larks tend to be older, but college students and twenty-somethings are well-known owls. Larks are most aware around noon, work best in the late morning and are chatty, friendly and pleasant from about 9:00 a.m to around 4:00 p.m. Owls, on the other hand, do not really get going until the afternoon, are at their most pleasant (if that is not an oxymoronic term for college students) later in the day and are at their most alert after 6:00 p.m.
